My win7 64-bit computer intermittently freezes? any ideas?

well this is pretty much my ongoing problem.
my computer seems to be fine when all of a sudden, the display will freeze and the computer will not respond to anything.
i have tried reinstalling my graphics drivers and trimming down my startup applications, i don't really know where to go next.
i'm hoping someone here can try and help

my system:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P5C-DS3R
Processor: Intel core2 quad (2.4ghz)
RAM: 2x 2gb Corshair DDR3
Graphics card: NVidea GeForce 8800GTX
HDD: 2x Western Digital 500Gb
 Samsung 1Tb
 Maxtor 160Gb
PSU: Coolmaster 550W
PCI: d-link ethernet card
DTV card

I'd like to list out my proper spec but it's hard when your computer crashes 2-10mins after turning on.
